Club Record Transfer Confirmed

Górnik Zabrze has sold 22-year-old Lukas Ambros to Anderlecht Brussels for a club-record fee exceeding €5M. The Czech youth international signed a four-year deal with an option for an additional season. Ambros made 58 appearances (3 goals, 14 assists) during his two-year stint with the Polish vice-champions.

Why This Matters for Górnik

The transfer follows Patrik Hellebrand's summer move to Korona Kielce, leaving Górnik without two key midfielders. The Silesian club has already signed five new players ahead of the 2026/27 season, including attackers from Holland and Slovakia, and a goalkeeper from Spain's La Liga.

What's Next for the Silesians?

Michal Gasparik's team faces Lech Poznań in the Polish Super Cup on July 16, followed by a Champions League qualifier against Fenerbahçe Istanbul on July 21. Ambros left Górnik's Austrian training camp on Thursday for medical tests in Belgium.
