Górnik Zabrze has lost a young player to the Champions League. Wiktor Nowak is leaving the club after a surprise transfer. The young Pole is joining Slavia Prague, the current Czech champion, which has secured a spot in the Champions League group stage. Nowak spent last season on loan at Wisła Płock, where he played in 33 matches and scored five goals. Upon his return to Śląsk, he was unable to make his official debut for Górnik. The Czechs have splurged on the transfer, with the fee ranging from 2 to 3 million euros. This is a significant amount, considering the market value of the young Polish representative was estimated at around 1.5 million euros. The young player joined Zabrze last summer from Znicz Pruszków and had a valid contract until 2028. Instead of playing in the Ekstraklasa, the talented player now faces competition for the highest honors in our southern neighbors and appearances on European stages.
