Górnik Zabrze has acquired a new goalkeeper. Phillip Schulze moved to the team from German S.C. Verl. The 23-year-old goalkeeper signed a contract with the club until June 30, 2029. The contract also includes an option to extend the cooperation for another twelve months. The new Górnik goalkeeper was born in Hanover, where he started his football career. At the age of 14, he joined the Wolfsburg academy and continued to develop in subsequent age categories. Playing in youth teams, he had the opportunity to compete in the UEFA Youth League against teams such as Sevilla, Red Bull Salzburg, and Lille. He was included in the first team of Wolfsburg in 2021. However, he gained senior experience mainly outside his home club. In the first half of 2024, he represented Hallescher FC, where he made 14 appearances in the German third division.
